Appian Court August Consultation

Working with Local Dialogue, in August we completed a consultation event at Appian Court where we shared drawings of the proposed building with residents and stakeholders. The aim of this was to get resident input to help us influence designs prior to our planning application.

Appian Court consultation

We had 25 people attend in total, which included Appian Court residents, users of AGE UK and local residents from Parnell Road, Usher Road and Roman Road.

Feedback from this consultation event was that:

•    The majority of attendees agreed that Appian court did require redevelopment
•    The majority of attendees agreed that the proposals are positive for Bow
•    The majority of attendees liked the design of the new building particularly the new garden

Residents view the proposed design

Some residents were concerned about the future of the Age UK centre currently at Appian Court. We will be meeting with Age UK in September to discuss options for the relocation of their service.
