Kate Dodsworth, Chief Executive
Kate Dodsworth joined Gateway as Chief Executive in April 2018. Kate started her career in homelessness and mental health 25 years ago. After completing a Master's degree in Housing, she moved to the National Housing Federation, latterly becoming Assistant Director. She led on policy and lobbying for affordable housing and for London and the South East. She moved to AmicusHorizon in 2013 as Executive Director of People and Strategy. She continued this role for Optivo following a merger in May 2017. Kate is on the Steering Group of Leadership 2025 and is also an external examiner for Westminster University.
Jackie Fearon, Director of Resident Services
Jackie Fearon joined Gateway in January 2019 having started her career in welfare, race and housing over 25 years ago. She has extensive experience in housing and asset management, community development, resident involvement and regeneration. She has worked across the private, voluntary and local authority sectors and led teams at senior and executive level, developing high performing teams to deliver improved services to residents. Jackie has worked across a range of organisations at strategic and operational levels including Southwark & Hackney Councils, Estuary Housing Association, the Genesis Housing Group and the Peabody Trust. Jackie joins us from the Clarion Housing Group where she was a key lead on stakeholder relationships and improved service delivery across all areas of neighbourhood management in North London. Jackie has a BA in Housing Management & Development, and an MA in Psychoanalysis.
Lynne Shea, Director of Finance and Resources
Lynne Shea joined Gateway's Executive Management Team in January 2017 as Director of Finance and Resources. Lynne is a qualified accountant with over 30 years experience. She has held executive positions in the private and housing association sectors for over 26 years.
Mak Akinyemi, Director of Property Services
Mak has 24 years experience in property services and asset management having started his career in private practice at Reddin and Nuttall Chartered Building Surveyors in 1994. Mak is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building and is currently a Non-Executive Board member of Rosebery Housing Association in Epsom and also a Director at Central Housing Investment Consortium. Apart from Registered Social Housing sector, Mak has worked in the Charity sector for Action for Children (NCH). Mak was appointed Director of Property Services at Gateway Housing Association in May 2013.
Becky Utuka, Director of Development and Sales
Becky Utuka joined Gateway in January 2017 as the Head of Development and was promoted to Acting Director of Development in August 2018. She was named Director of Development and Sales in January 2019. Becky started her career as a Graduate Project Officer 12 years ago. She has extensive experience in development and project management, having worked within the Development teams of a number of Housing Associations including Swan Housing Association, Network Homes and Peabody. Becky has an MSC in Real Estate Development and Investment and a PGDip in Surveying.
