Foxtrot on the island

Residents from John Tucker House and St John's attended a Tea dance at George Green School.

Brian Lafferty says:

'Despite a wet start, we soon settled down at our table and were supplied with tea and coffee by pupils from the school.

I spotted some figures from the local community - Sister Christine, Jim Fitzpatrick MP, the Mayor of Tower Hamlets and Councillors Archer and Shahid Ali.

The dancing was good fund, but I don't think I mastered the square foxtrot! Music was supplied by an excellent DJ and suited the era of the attendees.
