On Gill Street and Three Colt Street in E14, just off Commercial Road, this project is on an extremely sensitive site next to Nicholas Hawksmoor’s Grade 1 listed St Anne's church.
The development is made up of a mix of tenures, including rented, shared ownership and key worker dwellings. In addition, there is also elderly supported accommodation and move-on accommodation for young people.
The new buildings have been carefully designed to contribute positively to their urban setting and the development fits to the historic street pattern. In the centre of the site the new buildings wrap around an attractive secure communal garden. On the south of the site a dramatic pavilion block provides a landmark visible from the Docklands Light Railway.
The architects were MEPK and contractors were Rooff Ltd.
