New Community Development initiative begins

Published: 20 February 2010

Muge DindjerGateway has joined forces with two local neighbouring housing associations, THCH and Spitalfields, to create a joint programme of community development/resident participation between the three organisations.

We welcome Muge Dindjer as Community Development Co-ordinator. Muge started on 18 January for a 2 year contract.

Muge will build on our existing partnerships to improve residents’ access to employment, training, health, sport etc and to develop partnership working between the three organisations, as well as to align our community development policies and strategies.

Muge also hopes commission and/or broker services, for example, youth services, and coordinate access to community facilities and resources, to oversee joint programmes and events and to raise funding for these services.
