We are building a scheme of three flats in Ida Street, E14, and are trying to decide on a name for the development.
We have come up with three suggestions (see below) and the reasons behind them. The final decision for the name is taken by the Post Office and the Fire Brigade, but we can submit our preferences.
Jade House - from Chinese Jade, as the Chinese community has a long history in this area of the East End.
Frederick House or Gibberd House - nearby Chrisp Street Market was designed as part of the Festival of Britain in 1951, and the iconic clock tower was completed in 1952 to the designs of the architect Fredrick Gibberd.
Please let us know what you think the development should be called. Send your choice to Sandy Pahl, Project Delivery Officer by Wednesday 31 March 2010.
