Sheltered Housing Forum

Updated: 03 May 2011

sheltered residents 3 The Sheltered Housing Forum is available to all residents who live in our sheltered accommodation. It aims to represent residents from all sheltered schemes.

The group meets every three months to discuss issues specifically about our provision of sheltered housing and the meeting is held at each scheme in turn. We will display notices of meetings on the noticeboards in your sheltered scheme two weeks before each meeting.

The Sheltered Forum aims to:

  • help arrange joint social activities;
  • improve the services we provide to sheltered residents;
  • share information between schemes, and highlight areas where we can improve; and
  • provide information and advice for all residents.

Marie Higginson of Hugh Platt House writes: 'Thank you for inviting us to the Sheltered Forum. I was glad I went. I will take more interest in what's going on between the Association and us residents in future. It was nice to see residents from other schemes. Thank you for a lovely lunch and making us feel welcome, it was very nice'.

If you would like to find out more about the Sheltered Forum, please ask your scheme manager. To join the mailing list, please contact the resident involvement team on 020 8709 4300 or email Resident Involvement.

Approved minutes of the meetings are available on request.
