Our Residents Scrutiny Panel is now fully operational and has recently agreed its Terms of Reference and Work Plan for the year. Scrutiny Panel members have also attended a Scrutiny training session on Saturday 24 September 2011, which was hosted by Gateway and included residents from two other local housing associations.
On 27 September 2011, the Scrutiny Panel elected its interim Officers for the year.
We are pleased to announce that Ian Marks has been elected Interim Chair and Lolita Mohamed elected Interim Vice-Chair.
Others on the Panel include:
The Resident Scrutiny Panel will be central to our Resident Engagement Framework and will become a key resident group.
What is the purpose of Scrutiny Panel?
The primary role will be to provide an independent resident scrutiny of our services and scrutinise performance aimed at improving services for our customers.
It is suggested that the Scrutiny Panel will monitor:
The Scrutiny Panel will commission estate resident inspectors and mystery shoppers and make recommendations to the senior management team and the Board on service improvements
This is an opportunity for customers to influence change, and have a real and meaningful say in the way Gateway works.
We will update residents on the Scrutiny Panel through Open Door Newsletter and the website.
We currently have a Scrutiny Panel of nine residents out of twelve places and therefore have three positions vacant.
