Residents' groups represent your interests and can help bring communities together. Sometimes you may choose to campaign around a common issues, at other times you may want to organise a fun day or social events.

If you would like to join an existing Residents' Association, please contact our Resident Involvement team.

If you are interested in setting up a Residents' Association, firstly find other people that are interested and ask them if they wish to become members. Generally seven members is the minimum nummber of people needed. Find out what is important to people in your community.

A Residents' Association can:

  • Raise money for your community
  • Promote community spirit
  • Be involved in local activities
  • Meet new people
  • Produce your own newsletter
  • Find out more about how your landlord operates
  • Celebrate the diversity within your community

We provide support so residents' groups can run effectively and get things done. We also offer a small grant if your group meets our policy of being open, fair and democratic.
