Roger Bardet, shortlisted for Tenant Champion 24Housing Award!

We’re delighted to announce that Roger Bardet has been shortlisted for a national 24Housing Award! Roger has been shortlisted in the Tenant Champion category, no doubt in recognition of his 10 years’ service on our Sheltered Residents’ Forum.

He’s held various positions on the Forum and became Chair in February 2017. On re-election he said, “I’m fortunate to have such a good team with me, who’ve been tremendously supportive. The Forum is a wonderful way to meet new people and our aim is to try and improve the overall service for all sheltered residents.”

Residents describe him as a true gentleman and our staff value his commitment, experience and positive attitude.

Forum Members all praise Roger. Richard Linsdell, the preceding Chair said, “Roger’s been a true ambassador for the Forum.”

Other members described him as ‘a great advocate’, ‘committed to resident involvement’ and ‘an all-round good guy’.

Mo Ali, Head of Resident Services, said, “Roger’s a selfless, hardworking, humble and truly inspirational resident who absolutely deserves the title ‘Tenant Champion’.”

Let’s hope he gets the recognition that we here at Gateway believe he deserves!
