New Year's Employabilty and Mentoring Programme
Gateway STEP is pleased to be working with the East London Business Alliance (ELBA) on a joint mentoring and employability programme in the New Year.
The course will run every Tuesday from 10am - 1pm for five consecutive weeks, commencing on 27 January 2015.
The training programme has been designed with 12 corporate volunteers who will ‘buddy-up’ and mentor 12 STEP clients to help prepare them for work.
The programme is run in conjunction with the Employment Works team at ELBA. Participants who are job ready at the end of the programme will be registered onto the Employment Works database and can work with the employment team to be matched with live vacancies.
Participants who need a bit more support are eligible to apply for the Training into Work programme with ELBA and will also have the opportunity to work towards a City and Guilds Level 1 Award in Employability Skills Qualification.
