Madeleine has been working in the housing sector all her life. She is particularly interested in how working collaboratively with residents and other local organisations can make a real difference. She joined the Board in 2011, and became Chair in 2017.
Cha Patel, MBA, is Deputy Chair and Chair of the Risk and Audit Committee. Cha is Deputy Chair of Bromley Healthcare, board member of CityWest Homes and director of Igloo Consultants. Cha joined the board in 2012 and was a member of the Governance and Personnel committee. Specialising in Corporate Finance, she brings to Gateway expertise in finance and strategy.
Helen Cope has worked in housing since 1976. She was Chief Executive of the East Thames Group in East London, a former chair of the National Housing Federation and Stratford Development Partnership, and until 2017 Chair of Yarlington Housing Group in Somerset. She’s well respected across the housing sector and has written extensively on housing and public policy. She joined Gateway’s Board in 2018.
Kirsty is Chief Executive of The Mayor's Fund for London. Prior to that she was Chief Executive at the Employment Related Services Association (ERSA). She joined Gateway’s Board in October 2017, and brings experience working cross sector, with expertise in employment, education, regeneration, housing and welfare reform, disability and social sector issues.
Sultana Begum is a teacher and works for Greenwich Council. As a Gateway tenant, Sultana was a member of the Scrutiny Panel and joined Gateway’s Board in January 2017.
Trevor has held senior operational positions with specialist national providers working with older people. He joined the Board in 2016.
Michael Chinn, FCCA CPFA, is the Director of Finance and Resources at CCHA (Croydon Churches Housing Association). He joined the Board in 2016.
Mark Miles Lea
Mark has worked in the housing association sector for over 25 years, specialising in development. Most recently he was Executive Director for Development & Sales at Optivo. He joined Gateway’s Board in 2018.
