How do we govern?

We have strong systems in place to manage risk, ensure compliance and support effective decision-making across the organisation.

Our governance approach

Our governance model is built on the principles of:

  • Accountability

  • Integrity

  • Resident focus

  • Regulatory compliance

This ensures that:

  • Decisions are made transparently and in the best interests of  residents

  • Responsibilities are clearly defined across the Board, Committees and Executive

  • The organisation  operates  safely,  sustainably  and  strategically

We follow the National Housing Federation (NHF) Code of Governance 2020, ensuring alignment with sector best practice.

Managing risk

Our governance framework emphasises strong internal controls, transparent  reporting  and proactive risk management.

The Board and leadership team:

  • Define and  monitor  the Group’s risk  appetite

  • Undertake regular stress  testing

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory  requirements

  • Maintain systems for audit,  assurance  and  whistleblowing

Regulatory compliance

We are regulated by the Regulator of Social Housing.

Our current rating is:

  • G1  - Meeting governance requirements

  • V1  - Meeting financial viability  requirements

This means we have the financial capacity to manage a wide range of risks and continue delivering services effectively.
