Celebrating Skills and Futures: National Apprentice Week 2024

From IT to HomeWorks and Homeownership teams, our apprentices come from all walks of life. They are of different ages, have different backgrounds, and are at different career stages. But one thing they all share is a desire to learn and succeed.

Hi, my name is Muhalil!

As the Homeownership and Resident Service Apprentice, I manage one-off payments, collect residents' contact details, and address emails and inquiries. 

My background in customer service and administration, along with my academic knowledge in sociology and criminology, has been crucial in my current role.

Throughout my work experience, I have noticed considerable improvement in my IT and communication skills. Hands-on training has been extremely valuable to me and has made me realise the advantages of on-the-job learning. 

In the future, I would like to concentrate on my professional development. I am eager to expand my knowledge across different departments within Gateway, enhance my interpersonal skills, and acquire additional professional qualifications. 

My goal is to identify the perfect niche within housing where I can continue to grow and make a meaningful impact.
