Resident Engagement and Involvement Strategy

As a community housing association our resident engagement is more than just a regulatory requirement but is rooted in our mission to support communities to thrive


We are committed to shaping our services to best meet the needs of community's collective wellbeing by providing opportunities that engage and involve all members. Our objective is to increase our community engagement and investment as we recognise a thriving community has many voices within it. 


Following the pandemic, we partnered with the Housing Association and Community Trust (HACT). They are currently advising on best practices within the sector and helping us re-engage, re-connect and support residents as we establish Gateway as a community anchor with recognised community leaders, local housing associations and social enterprises.


Gateway's priority is the wellbeing and safety of our customers in their home and within the community. Our 100-year anniversary in 2026 will see us reach a unique milestone of delivering social impact for a century by providing quality homes for people in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets (LBTH).
