Citizens Advice East End – Universal Credit/Fuel Vouchers

We are here to support you

Citizens Advice East End have been working relentlessly throughout the pandemic to ensure that our local community is being supported. Our services remain predominantly via telephone however limited face-to-face appointments are being offered to those who are most vulnerable, on a pre-booked basis.

Over the last few months, we have seen a cut to the Universal Credit £20 uplift, energy costs increasing and more people in need of advice. We can provide financial support with benefits, debt, energy bills, employment and other crises including disrepair and adaptations.

Fuel Vouchers

We are offering fuel vouchers to support those who are struggling with gas and electricity payments on key meters. To be eligible for these vouchers you must meet the following criteria:

  1. You have not received more than three vouchers from us before

  2. You are a low-income family or receiving benefits and are finding it hard to cope

  3. You are in an emergency where benefits have been cut or you have lost your job and are waiting for your benefit payments to start.

If you would like to make an appointment, please call

0203 855 4472 - Monday – Friday - 10am- 4pm.

Universal Credit Claims

We also offer support with making Universal Credit claims via the Help to Claim service. Please contact 0800 144 8444 on Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm. You can also access the webchat service online on www.citizensadvce.org.uk
