Each week over the summer period, around 700 kilograms of fresh fruit, vegetables, and quality surplus food were made available for residents easing the cost-of-living pressure during the holiday period and reducing food waste.
Alongside the Holmsdale sessions, deliveries were made to Gateway’s enhanced Housing Schemes, ensuring that more residents were involved and in all over 260 people benefitted. Many residents collected food not just for their own families, but for those who couldn’t attend, strengthening community ties and ensuring no-one as left out.
Working in partnership with the Felix Project, means we can help tackle the challenges residents face, promote well-being, and build stronger more connected communities. We are committed to doing more of this work in the future.
