Gateway Housing and St James to provide 82 affordable homes in Bow Green

Bow Green development

The Bow Green Project is restoring a former gasworks site and building 1,450 homes in the area across five phases.

St James is dedicated to restoring the area's heritage and charm and blending it with modern buildings to create a lively new neighbourhood.

Bow Green has plenty of green spaces, surrounded by parks, rivers, canals, and natural landscapes. It's conveniently located in East London, with excellent transport links and a 23-minute walk from Canary Wharf.

Neil Ramsdale, Managing Director at St James West London, said: “Bow Green Phase one will deliver a significant number of new, high-quality homes for the local community, as well as a beautiful park, Sainsburys convenience store and restaurant. We’re delighted to be working in partnership with Gateway Housing Association, the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, and the GLA to increase the supply of high-quality, affordable homes for the area as part of an inclusive mixed-use community.”

Kate Franklin, CEO, said: “We are delighted that Tower Hamlets residents will be able to move into high- quality, affordable family homes as part of this development. We are really pleased to work with St James, and hope this is just the beginning of a fruitful and long-lasting partnership.”
