Gateway's Damp and Mould Responsibility

It is critical to report the issue of damp and mould to us as soon as it appears so we can do something about it
Modern homes are often insulated and whilst this limits draughts to keep warmth inside, it can also cause condensation, which if left untreated can lead to mould growth due to humid air that becomes trapped inside your home. The impacts of damp and mould for occupants of damp or mouldy homes is an increased risk of developing respiratory problems, where some people are more sensitive to mould than others.
Tenant safety is our main priority and always drive our decisions. It is important that any customer experiencing damp or mould tells us about it as soon as possible so we can act on it.
To report damp and mould, telephone 020 8709 4300 or email Customer.Services@gatewayhousing.org.uk.

How we are tackling Damp and Mould
Our operatives and colleagues operating in our homes are reporting issues they see, so together we will tackle all areas of concern, not just damp and mould.
- where damp and mould occurs, our team will thoroughly investigate.
- there may be several causes, and our team will look at all possibilities, so that the necessary measures can be put in place to tackle it.
- in some cases the investigation and diagnosis, to find what is causing damp and mould, can take time along with resolving the issue.
