Online Resident Event Feedback

On Thursday 8 April 2021 we hosted our first virtual Resident Fair. Thank you to those that attended, if you were unable to make it then don’t worry we have put some of the content online and we will keep you informed of future events.

How Did it go?

There was a great turnout from residents, staff and partners. The was an array of workshops that residents were able to take part in and contribute ideas and suggestions. Heres a few highligts:

Anti-social Behaviour (ASB) Workshop

The ASB workshop was led by ASB Coordinator Victor Wavingana,  where he covered topics such as ‘What is ASB?’ and ‘How does Gateway deal with anti-social behaviour’. Head over to our Anti-Social Behavior section where you can find out more, plus helpful tips on being a good neighbour and ASB FAQs.

Repairs Workshop

Residents had the opportunity to discuss repairs and to gain some tips on DIY and quick fixes from our Homeworks team.  Check out our Repairs section here where you can find out more about 'Your responsibilities', 'How to report a repair and to view or download 'Your Repairs Handbook'.

Development and Sales Workshop

Led by Shinel Crichlow - Sales and Marketing Manager, residents found out about homeownership options throughout inner East London, covering Tower Hamlets, Hackney and Newham. Take a look at our Buy a Home Section, where you find out more on Shared Ownership, Right to Buy/Right To Acquire, Staircasing and more.

It was really exciting to meet and engage with some of our residents, and we’re really happy with the feedback after the event:

What happens now

We have contacted residents from the event, who have expressed an interest in getting involved to discuss involvement opportunities. This has already resulted in 4 residents being involved in the recruitment of the new Gateway Housing CEO, and the procurement of a sub-contractor.

How do I get involved?

If you were unable to attend the resident event and you would like to find out how you can get involved, then please go to our Get Involved page. Do not miss out on the amazing opportunities!
