While damp and mould can arise due to various factors, it’s essential to approach the issue collaboratively, ensuring both tenants and the housing association play their part in maintaining a safe, dry, and healthy living space.

How we are tackling Damp and Mould

Our operatives and colleagues operating in our homes are reporting issues they see, so together we will tackle all areas of concern, not just damp and mould. It’s also your responsibility as a tenant to report damp and mould immediately after you notice it.

  • Where damp and mould occur, our team will thoroughly investigate.
  • There may be several causes, and our team will look at all possibilities, so that the necessary measures can be put in place to tackle it.
  • In some cases, the investigation and diagnosis, to find what is causing damp and mould, can take time along with resolving the issue.
  • We will implement temporary measures to control the damp and mould issue while finding a permanent solution.

For those looking to expand their knowledge on damp and mould, The Guardian has put together a comprehensive guide available here.
