Day-to-day management at Gateway is carried out by our Executive Management Team

Kate Franklin Chief Executive Officer 

Kate Franklin is the Chief Executive Officer of Gateway. She is responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership to the company and ensuring that it achieves its mission and objectives. Kate is passionate about delivering great homes and supporting communities to thrive. She began her career in housing in 2009 and brings a unique perspective to the industry, having gained valuable skills from her retail background. Her relentless focus on delivering a brilliant customer experience and the ability to identify opportunities and create better ways of doing things are some of her key strengths.

John Andrew — Director of Finance, IT and Governance

John Andrew joined Gateway Housing as the Director of Finance, IT and Governance in January 2024. He has a decade of experience in social housing and has previously held senior finance positions in various commercial organisations, including BAE Systems and Anglian Water. John began his career as a chartered accountant with KPMG in Manchester. He aims to assist Gateway in achieving its strategic goals and enhancing the lives of the communities it serves.

Jahanara Rajkoomar—  Director of Customer Services

Jahanara is the Director of Customer Services and has responsibility for all resident services and responsive repairs services.

 

She has a proven track record of delivering strategic and innovative social solutions that benefit both the business and its customers. She leads our Customer Services Directorate and is responsible for ensuring that our residents receive a high standard of service across all areas of our work.

 

She has worked in social housing since 2009 in various roles focused on improving the experience of customers and communities.


Gateway is governed by a Board of Management, Risk and Audit Committee, and Governance and Personnel Committee. These committees are made up of residents and experienced people from various walks of life and organisations. 

We have the appropriate systems in place to make sure we undertake our work in an open, secure and accountable manner, and feedback to residents and the Regulator of Social Housing regularly.
